Prof. Dr. Falk Schwendicke
Prof. Falk Schwendicke is Head of the Department of Oral Diagnostics, Digital Health and Health Services Research at Europe’s largest university hospital, the Charité in Berlin, Germany. He also is the founding director of the Berlin Institute of AI and Health Policy and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Otago, New Zealand.
Prof. Schwendicke currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Dental Research, as President of the German Association for AI in Dentistry, as Topic Driver Dental at the ITU/WHO group AI in Health and as Vice President of the German Society for Oral Epidemiology and Health Services Research. Dr. Schwendicke holds a PhD from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and a Master of Dental Public Health (MDPH) from the University of Manchester. He received numerous awards, among them the IADR Leader Award, IADR Basil Bibby and IADR Lion Award as well as the David Sackett Award for Evidence-Based Medicine.
Dr. Clarissa C. Bonifácio
Dr. Clarissa C. Bonifácio is assistant professor in Paediatric Dentistry at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). Currently she works as director of the Paediatric Dentistry profile of the Master in Oral Health Sciences. Besides that, she works at a Center for Special Needs Dentistry (SBT). Dr. Bonifácio clinical and research interests include paediatric dentistry and cariology, especially minimal intervention treatment for dental caries in children.

Dear Falk, Good evening ! As you mentioned the mechanical aspect is important and bonding on soft dentin questionable … Comparing performances of GH to composite is a biased perspective since composites them-self shows limited longevity ! Selective one-step for deep decay works very good btw

Hello from Moscow! We usually use alot of Fuji 9 in pediatric practice, but may be Triage is more effective and better? What would you advise?
Do we need to use some liners ( calcium hydroxide for ex.) when doing selective caries removal ? or is it better to direct bond the tooth ?
